The Rocking Horse Shop, Fangfoss

With 36 years experience, The Rocking Horse Shop near York, is the pre-eminent exponent of the craft of designing, making and restoring rocking horses. Bucking the trend to have everything manufactured abroad, The Rocking Horse Shop makes virtually every part of their rocking horses in their own workshops in Yorkshire – from hand-carving to leather bridles and saddles, and even metal fittings. ‘That way,’ says Managing Director Jane Cook, ‘we are less dependent on outside suppliers and can readily accommodate customer’s individual requirements. The Rocking Horse Shop, Fangfoss, York, YO41 5JH, UK.
